Who am I?
I was a farmer and I have worked on my own farm for more than 15 years. For many years, I have had land-leasing contracts with Eurowind on wind turbines and solar power projects on my property. So, I already knew about the company from back then. This turned out to be useful when I decided that it was time for new challenges. I wanted to be in contact with the agricultural sector from another perspective, so I applied for a job at Eurowind as a Project Manager in the Danish Development Department, and have now been a part of the company since November 2020.
How do I make a difference?
As a Project Manager in the Danish Development Department, I establish the first contact with farmers who might be interested in having wind turbines and/or solar power on their property. My job is to initiate contact and make the land-leasing contracts on the specific area. I then, of course, continue the work that follows with neighbours and others involved. You get very close to people because there are a lot of feelings involved when it comes to farming. I often use my own background as a farmer as a way to connect and to make sure they feel safe, because I actually know how they feel. I like that we in Eurowind do business on some kind of personal level, because these projects are not only important to us, but also for them. And the fact that I can get out and meet “old colleagues” within the agricultural business and negotiate on things I know something about is great to me.
