Addressing climate change is central to our purpose as a developer and operator of renewable energy parks. By expanding renewable electricity generation, we contribute to the expansion of renewable energy systems and a reduced reliance on fossil fuels.

At the same time, we recognise that our activities - particularly those related to construction, procurement, and energy use in operations - result in the emission of greenhouse gasses. We monitor and report on these emissions through our annual Sustainability Statement.

Climate considerations are integrated into project development, technology choices, and long-term planning. This includes exploring solutions that improve system flexibility and efficiency, such as hybrid energy parks and energy storage. Through this integrated approach, we support climate change mitigation while managing transition and physical climate risks and maintaining long-term business resilience.

Renewable energy development takes place within natural and local environments, which is why biodiversity and ecosystem considerations are an important part of our project planning. Eurowind Energy recognises that renewable energy projects can have impacts on nature, particularly during construction and installation phases, and we work to identify and manage these impacts in line with regulatory requirements and our own commitments.

Environmental Impact Assessments form the primary basis for identifying potential impacts on habitats and species and for defining appropriate mitigation measures in line with regulatory requirements. In our planning, we follow the mitigation hierarchy, prioritising avoidance and minimisation of impacts and applying restoration or compensation measures where relevant.

Beyond regulatory requirements, we seek to strengthen our understanding of how projects interact with nature over time. This involves piloting tools to measure our impact on biodiversity at selected sites, which supports more informed decision-making and helps us prepare for evolving expectations related to nature protection and biodiversity reporting.

Efficient resource use and circularity are important considerations throughout the lifecycle of renewable energy assets. While Eurowind Energy is not a manufacturer, we influence resource use and circularity through project design, procurement decisions, asset management, and end-of-life planning and management.

Our approach focuses on extending asset lifetimes through proactive maintenance, and enabling reuse, refurbishment, and recycling of components. Repowering projects, where older assets are upgraded with more efficient technology, is an important way to increase output while optimising the use of existing infrastructure.

As renewable energy technologies evolve and asset portfolios mature, circular economy principles become increasingly relevant. By strengthening practices related to waste management, decommissioning, and supplier engagement, we aim to improve resource efficiency and manage long-term environmental and financial risks.

Eurowind Energy relies on a wide network of suppliers, contractors, and business partners, particularly during construction activities. We recognise that labour conditions and human rights risks may arise in complex supply chains, especially beyond our direct control.

Our approach is based on setting clear expectations for key suppliers and business partners regarding working conditions, human rights, and ethical business conduct. These expectations are supported through our Code of Conduct for Business Partners and Suppliers and ongoing dialogue.

By strengthening responsible procurement practices and improving transparency in the value chain, we aim to manage risks, support decent working conditions, and build long-term partnerships that align with international standards and stakeholder expectations.

Renewable energy projects are developed in close interaction with local communities. Eurowind Energy prioritises early and constructive engagement to understand local perspectives, address concerns, and support informed dialogue throughout the project lifecycle.

Engagement activities are adapted to local context and project stage and may include meetings, consultations, and collaboration with local stakeholders. Where regulatory frameworks allow, we support local value creation through community initiatives or co-ownership arrangements
