Supporting Local Communities

We believe that we are a part of something bigger. That's why we actively support local initiatives and projects in the communities in which we operate. Our wind farm Thorup-Sletten, for example, shares a portion of its earnings with local organisations within an eight-kilometre radius. The local fund administration is conducted by a committee comprised of community representatives, who evaluate and allocate financial support to eligible local organisations seeking funding for their initiatives. The funds are distributed at a biannual event to a wide range of projects to benefit local life and initiatives.

In 2022, we have supported various projects in the local area, such as a public playground, the establishment of a youth club, the establishment of a dog training ground, and the renovation of the clubhouse for a local rowing club, among many others. The funds originate from the electricity sales in the first half year of 2022 from Thorup-Sletten, which is located near Aggersund in the northern part of Denmark. 

We are proud to have made a significant difference in the local community by providing residents with access
to better resources and facilities. Our commitment to supporting local communities and their initiatives has
had a positive impact on the local area. We are eager to continue our support of the communities surrounding our wind farm in Thorup-Sletten.
