Eurowind Energy has completed its acquisition of EnBW’s Swedish renewable energy platform. The acquisition marks a significant expansion of Eurowind Energy’s activities and underlines the company’s long-term commitment to the Swedish market.
The platform includes approximately 120 MW of operating onshore wind assets, a substantial portfolio of renewable energy projects under development and an established operations and maintenance business.
The agreement was announced on 13 July 2026 and was subject to approval under Sweden’s foreign direct investment screening regime. Following completion, EnBW’s Swedish activities are now part of Eurowind Energy.
The acquisition significantly expands Eurowind Energy’s presence in Sweden, bringing together renewable energy generation, project development and operations and maintenance. The operating assets add renewable generation from day one, while the development portfolio strengthens the company’s ability to build more renewable energy projects in Sweden over the coming years.
“This acquisition gives us a solid basis for long-term growth in Sweden. With skilled colleagues, operating assets and new development opportunities, we are well positioned to grow our business and contribute to Sweden’s future energy supply. We look forward to building on this platform and creating lasting value here,” says Anders Widman, Country Manager Sweden at Eurowind Energy.
Eurowind Energy is already active in the Danish wind turbine service market, and the service business will be operated in close cooperation with Connected Wind Services Danmark A/S, owned by Eurowind Energy A/S. The company sees considerable potential to develop its service offering further across both markets.
