Norlys a.m.b.a. and Eurowind Energy announced a few weeks ago the establishment of a new joint company Norlys Energy Trading. The ambition is to create a European power center for renewable energy and commercial energy trading. Now the first positions in the top management are filled.
It is experienced forces that from the start will set the direction of Norlys Energy Trading. Anders Bauditz has chosen to take up the position as CEO, and thus underline the ambitions of the new company. 43-year-old Anders Bauditz has more than 10 years of experience in the energy industry, where he has been responsible for Centrica Energy Trading’s office in Aalborg for the past two years. He has a number of skills that are essential to fulfill the visions of Norlys Energy Trading.
- We are incredibly happy to have Anders on board as CEO. His strong professionalism and experience are exactly what it takes to fulfill the task of creating an energy trading center with a European dimension in Aalborg, states Niels Duedahl, CEO of Norlys and Chairman of the Board of Norlys Energy Trading.
Besides Anders Bauditz the 47-year-old Bjørn Skovhus will also join the management of the new company, where he, as CCO, has the direct responsibility for establishing the trading center and platform. Bjørn Skovhus joins from a position as Director Short term & Cross-Border Trading at Centrica Energy Trading. Both managers take up their position when their obligations towards their current employer expire.
Jens Rasmussen, CEO of Eurowind Energy and Vice Chairman of the Board of Norlys Energy Trading, is very pleased that both Anders Bauditz and Bjørn Skovhus join the new company:
- I know Anders after many years of cooperation in the industry. It is amazing that he has become part of our team and I consider him the optimal choice to lead Norlys Energy Trading. In addition, we have Bjørn, who has more than 20 years of experience in energy trading, joining the team. It is a very strong management team, states Jens Rasmussen.
The ambition for Norlys Energy Trading is to establish a company that is locally anchored, nationally covering and a significant European player within renewable energy and commercial energy trading. The company will also handle energy trading and risk management for the commercial energy businesses at Norlys and Eurowind Energy.
After obtaining the approval of the relevant authorities, Norlys Energy Trading will be jointly owned by Norlys, Denmark's largest integrated energy and telecommunications group with almost 800,000 electricity and gas customers, as well as by Eurowind Energy, a European top 10 player in renewable energy production.
