In a burst of activity Eurowind Energy has added 12 new team members to its Portuguese, Spanish and Italian offices, doubling its Portuguese team in Oporto and opening new offices in Seville, and Milan.
The new hires reinforced the business development, legal, technical, project management and marketing areas in the Southern European region.
Pedro Pereira, Managing Director for the Southern European Region said:
“We have discretely started to develop the Southern European market back in mid-2016, with a small team. Six years after, we are glad to see the fruits of our development work. These, together with our ambition to become a leading player in these markets, required a strong reinforcement of our team with talented people with experience in the renewable energy field. We are currently looking for another seven profiles to further reinforce our Southern European teams.”
In Portugal, Eurowind Energy will soon connect to the grid its first 22MWp PV plant in Alenquer and will start the construction of a portfolio of approximately 50MWp of small generation PV plants between Q4 2022 and first half of 2023. Besides, the company is developing a pipeline of renewable energy and “Power to X” projects, including, among others, a green hydrogen project fed by a solar, wind and storage hybrid renewable plant.
In Spain the company owns a 5MWp operating PV plant in Cordoba and intends to add several PV, wind and “Power to X” projects to its current development pipeline.
Finally, in Italy, Eurowind Energy has recently connected its first six wind turbines to the grid in Sicily and soon will start the construction of another five turbines in the same Region. The company has several solar and wind projects under development in the Italian market and intends to substantially grow this pipeline, potentially expanding it to “Power to X” projects too.
